PROGRESSION UPDATE

Following on from the introduction of Hunter Progression in our last update, we have made a series of changes and improvements to the progression system.

We have extended progression for each character, with the upper limit now being level 25. Some of the rewards from Fame levels 1-15 have changed from currency based rewards to cosmetics/modules. Players who have already earned Hunter Fame levels will have the new rewards unlocked and can claim them from the rewards screen.

In addition to Hunter progression, player progression has now also been added with its own levels and rewards. Hunter tokens achieved in-game can now also be spent on unlocking new Hunters.

Now is the time to master the Arena like never before!

NEW GAMEPLAY MECHANICS & FUNCTIONALITY

We have made a series of updates to the gameplay mechanics and functionality.

  • Status Effects - With our new Hunters come new abilities and this brings two new status effects to the game, Haste and Marked.

  • Loadouts - Hunter loadouts are no longer mode specific so when you set a loadout it will be the loadout used across all game modes.

  • Player Progression - By clicking on your name/avatar you will now be able to view your player profile, in-game stats and match history.

  • Avatar - You can now set a new avatar and view all of the avatars available to acquire in-game.

  • New Events – In the coming weeks character inspired events will go live, offering new challenges and rewards.

  • Badges - You will see badges based on your in-game performance in the HUD during battle and showcased in the results flow at the end of match.

  • Aim Cameras - Aim Mode cameras have been reworked, with additional zoom being added. Imara Vex's Aim Mode camera now zooms in further than other ranged Hunters.

  • Blaster Accuracy - The accuracy penalty when moving and using a blaster has been removed.

  • Slingshot Module - Slingshot’s module "Trickshot: Reckless" has been replaced with a new module "Trickshot: Shock". Players who owned Reckless will have it swapped out automatically

Correction To Update: The ability to change your name was erroneously included in our initial update blog. This is something we are working on but is not within update 0.12.1. In addition, we have updated our description around the new challenges to make this clearer for players (now referred to above as "New Events"). We are sorry for this error.
